I think it would be a great idea to have a 'World News' section implemented here on Historic Forums. Personally, I like to keep myself up to date with what's happening in the world, and this would give the chance for members to voice their opinion on a certain topic.

For example, today, December 14, 2013, is the 1 Year Anniversary of the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. (My condolences go out to all of the families who lost a loved one on this tragic day.)
