If anything, his post was completely relevant, because you were wrong. He was just pointing that out.

The discussion was about these attacks but not my experience with them. Thus, the comment is irrelevant. Keep in mind, you can hold this argument up but with that logic, it would also be relevant to point out grammar error with the claim that the person who wrote the sentence in question doesn't understand how basic grammar works. But that too would be going outside of the discussion into an area where you aren't talking about the actual facts of the grammatical error but the life, experience and/or education of an individual.

How you phrase a statement means much more than you seem to acknowledge.

I'll keep my statement as it was. He went outside of the actual discussion and into something that isn't relevant.

I don't really think it's an anti-ddos script because (maybe?!) DDoS affects Apache directly (the server). But it can be helpful against small DoS floods.
