Wireless question, problems accessing the Internet. #1
Not sure if this is the best group to ask, and since this is a hacking forum chances that the readers know a lot more about computers and networks than any other place, so here's my problem:

We have a payed internet sevice, it's a bundle with TV and all that, our new room mate transferred his to this new house, it was his but now we share it.

During the summer season, he was a guide for the Oman futsal club and I think they were going to play with the Iraquian team but their govenments didn't allow it, he also brought one of the players to our house (we weren't living here yet, he was, we only came here around 2 or 3 weeks later) and he said that since that point in time the internet has been having issues and that he saw a van parked outside our house.

All this happened around 2 or 3 months ago but the connection hasn't improved, he says his laptop and his desktop connect fine, but my laptop and my other friend's laptop do not but only on this network, on our own networks back home, both the laptops connect perfectly on their networks.

We need to refresh literally dozens of times for the page to load and halfway it looses connection and we have to reload again because it blocks.

On the windows network icon it always says the connection is at max and shows no errors, but the internet is still quite unstable, always.

Once it showed that there was a problem with the DNS server not responding but that hasn't appeared for a whle...

So what can be the problem? Can we being tracked or something and that is hogging our connection? Our laptops connect well to other networks so they can't be the problem...

Anyone has any idea?

so what should be the solution? how can I check out if someone actually is doing it? and how to stop it?

--EDIT--

Is changing the router password enough?

right click on the task bar and chose to start the task manager it would pop up the task manager then go to users and check there and the network tab as well.

I did that but the only user there was my computer... and my room mate is also using the same connection so I assume she should at least show up?

Well maybe I could check it out better if I used airmon-ng on my backtrack, but every station's AP say "not associated" so I can't see if those clients are connected to our network or not...
