Windows vs Linux security TEST 03-26-2014, 01:18 AM

Hey guys
I'm doing a project in school on Windows vs Linux security. I need a way to prove linux is more secure. Can you think of anyways I can prove this? I tell you what I got so far.
I port scanned 2 networks one windows and one linux(obv). They both had similar services running. I concluded from results linux was more secure due to having less open ports and services running.
Second test was on hashing algorithms . Tested windows NTLM again linux md5 and sha1. Linux was superior due to taking longer to crack.
Please note in have read loads of articles etc on OS security and the ones directed to me on this site. I have added all these to my project but I'm still under the word count .
CAN anyone think of any ways to test the security between OS? Would need to be a fair test.
All advice greatly appreciated . Again it sucks as I feel like I've already proven linux is more secure via articles etc but i need to conduct my own test:/
