Don't get Windows 8, it is extremely bad. Go for Windows 7 instead.

I tried Windows 8 for a little while. It's basically the same as Windows 7, but more organized, and for many, more confusing. I personally like it, because the GUI looks a little better than Window 7's.

Windows still has compatibility problems with programs and modems etc. My cousin bought a new windows 8 pc. It didn't work with the zyxel modem he already had.(it worked fine with other computers and laptops) Personally I like windows 7 more because windows 8 is optimized for tablets.

To be honest I don't know if Windows 8 is for me. I do know though that in the future when I purchase a new PC I might have to consider a running system later then Windows XP. After all this is the program that is teetering on the brink. In other words the way technology is going there could come a time when this program starts to become as obsolete as Windows 98 and ME. But do I really want to upgrade to something that is such a radical difference as Windows 8, I guess that is something I am going to have to think about.

Everyone is saying it's crap and how it's only good for tablets. To be honest, I doubt I'll ever get it. I'll wait until the next version of Windows comes out.
