Why'd you start programming?

I wanted to build a web app. I can't afford to pay programmers, so I'll just have to learn it myself!

I find that if there's a goal that personally benefits you, that really drives the learning experience.

Honestly, I started because I got curious. I have a habit of getting curious about how something works. In order to understand how it works sometimes, you must build it and compare. I have learned all sorts of languages that way, though I would not call myself a master of any of them. There is always more to learn, and that is what drives me to continue.
