Who wants to learn some electrical engineering? #1
Well, I dont much feel like finishing the 10+ tutorials in my drafts folder, mostly because of lack of activity on their prerequisite threads, so here's an open question:

Who wants to learn about the magical land of EE?

Reply below with something you want to learn more about. If you don't know where to start, look up some of these terms:
  • RC circuits (resistor-capacitor)
  • TTL logic
  • TDL logic
  • CMOS logic
  • transistor design
  • field effects
  • electrical component placement
  • circuit design
  • inductors
  • alternating current
  • direct current
  • ohms law (applications)
  • relationships between L, I, and V
  • ...

This looks interesting, especially circuit design. In the past I've built very simple circuits at school, but they weren't anything special and we didn't ever need to plan them out since they were so simple. I'd love to learn about designing circuits.

I would love to learn electrical engineering!
Do you plan on doing this for free or having a price?

Id like to learn more as well. Smile I had soem books when I was in high school that got me into speakers and amplifiers and all that, I love audio and music so you bet I still have a bad ass sound system! we covered some basics in Welding school and in the military, but havent really the mathematical background to just, take off running with it.

Though I do really well in science, naturally, i kinda always sucked at math. :/ so chemistry - especially with atoms and quantum mechanics, I adore those studies. I even adore Allegra. but never took a calculus class, though I understand its the mathematics of a curved line.

Although, I have some experience with it and I want to master this skill fully. I have some guitars which I need to repair. I fear I'll fail with replacing components.

Replacing components is quite a bit different from designing something yourself. As for just picking up a soldering iron and doing it, that's really the best way to learn how to solder. You have no idea how many SMD boards I completely destroyed before I learned the tricks to that (hint: copper fabric).

Books aren't going to be incredibly helpful. Sure, as reference material but I don't think either of us will ever be to the point where we have that much knowledge we need to retain.
