Tell me you even know how to defend your statements even though they are bunk. I asked you questions and you avoid them. Seems like you're just reading from a textbook without any firsthand knowledge of the subject, thus making invalid points. Confused

And in addition to making false statements you can't even provide supporting facts to make the comparison that you claim, nor do I believe you know the first thing about the Win32 API.

More avoidance I see Smile You're just another one of those skids who doubles as a pretender. I did ask a couple questions, but there's topics regardless that you never had a debate towards, in regards to what I was talking about, so the semantics behind my posts, if that's all you're concerned with debating here, doesn't really interest me. I was giving hints towards concepts and waiting for you to respond with relevant information, and you did not (not even once with any supporting facts actually). You didn't have anything better to say than just how POSIX is better than the Win32API, which is essentially a ridiculous statement aside from the rest of the nonsense you went into detail about.

If you want a direct question, here is a few.

1. Explain how POSIX (a standard) could replace the Win32API?
2. Do you know what API stands for? and...
3. Explain how any portable library could be used as a universal solution for any platform? (Btw, that currently does not exist)

Just for your information, Windows essentially started in ~1980, the first POSIX standard wasn't until 1988.... Linux on the other hand, that's a different story. If the Win32 API is depreciated, you're essentially saying that any interface with Windows is depreciated, which makes no sense.
