Set this up a year ago and I cannot imagine another option to watch movies and music from torrent. Is this still the trend and best way?

In terms of movies, there's a lot of available sources aside from torrents.

Plex is great even aside from torrents. I've been using a combination of Plex for the rest of my house and Kodi for my main HTPC. Works really well
