Ok, I know the answer to this already, I just want to hear your way.

If you want anonymity, what method would you use?

This is a very broad question, and you will get a lot of different answers from the different security and prevention experts you ask. Here is a list of afew things that I know of and would recommend;

Lexi's Anonymity Suggestions:
  • VPN (Virtual Private Network)
  • VM (Virtual Machine)
  • Tor Tunnels (Essentially the same as a VPN)
  • Using dynamically refreshing sessions to keep browsing smooth but constantly updating your IP at intervals to conceal your identity.

There are many more options and I can delve into more depth of each option if you have any questions.

I wouldn't be scared for example using a Twitter, but for sure I'd not post even my name on there. Make sure your computer is clean and make sure you don't reveal ANY personal information. Using a VPN would help too, that would keep your country secret.

And for sure I'd use one and only email for all my accounts, 100% secret and secure, and another for contact people.

You can be anonymous, but you have to be very carefully and consistent.

There are many more options and I can delve into more depth of each option if you have any questions.

If you truly believe that the Tor Network is going to make you anonymous, I think you should think again.

There is lists of public IP addresses that Tor uses, and if you are a site administrator you can block these IP addresses. You could easily unmask these exploits from Javascript exploits, to simply making a user using Tor download a file.

Tor is also monitored by the FBI as we speak. This isn't some conspiracy theory either. A few arrests were made of people downloading child pornography and all sorts of other sites that were hosted by the FBI. The FBI has also injected some Javascript into sites and you'll be redirected to an error saying: "The site you are looking for is currently down for schedule maintenance. Please try again in a few hours." Or something along those lines. If one is running scripts on that page, chances are your true IP address was just fed into one of the FBI's servers to monitor. (Hence the arrests.)

The idea of staying Anonymous on the internet is also leaving any affiliations with any groups that you are in. So lets say you're good friends with [user] online. It'd be best to shy away from him and just go on your own feet with that alias.

You also should have some information about who you would want to be. So an excel document and some SOCKS would do the trick as well.

VPN's are great but I'd prefer going the underground route when it came to purchasing a VPN provider. VPN's like OpenVPN and their host is probably the smartest idea.
