Well the thread advertising this site was posted in the vb.net section, so expect most members to know vb.net as their main language. I was going to try python once, never really pursued it, though. Post some tutorials and it might get me into it!

Bah, that's exactly why I don't like .NET.
The GUI designer feels forced down my throat.
I like more control, doing it all by hand.
I know that I can do that with VB, but it's not the same feeling.
Same as how I can't stand Dreamweaver to design a webpage, despite the fact I can just edit the HTML directly.
Doesn't fit my work style. :<

More work? No. I like to have 100% control over everything.
And I mean 100%.
To me, tools that make things "easier" actually make things more difficult.
I'm not sure why, that's just how I am.
Like, in school, if I had a calculator, it'd take me the whole class to do my work. But if I just did it in my head, I'd get the same amount of work done in about 15 minutes.
