I haven't downloaded a torrent in years, but if I were going to again then I'd probably go back to uTorrent.

I use Transmission-Qt because it is available by default in Ubuntu and I love it with a simple display.

I use Deluge.
It's opensource and works great with GNU/Linux.

I used µTorrent but I now use Bittorrent.
