What's your guys' input on eSports

I personally enjoy doing my fair share of GB when I feel up to it. But, some people take it waaay TO seriously.

Yeah some people do take it serious, but if people offer good prizes people will take it seriously.

League of Legends is trying to do that. They're building stadiums or something if I remember correctly and setup a ladder system like NBA, AFL etc. and are having matches on a weekly basis lol.

Personally though, not a fan. Computer games should stay as games.

eSports is any system that relates to games, not just PC.

why is Chess a sport? because it trains your brain, maybe Shooter for examples are also training the Brain? : D

I definitely wouldn't class it as a sport though, It's the same as what millions of other people do. Sit down and stare at a screen controlling a non-existent person or something. They're just better at it.

I don't see what's wrong with calling it competitive gaming or professional gaming.

@Chris some sports weren't considered sports and one point in time, such as soccer, volleyball and even some sports in the OLYMPICS.
