Actually in one form or another it is contribution. 22 people have seen this thread, which means 22 people may realize that yes, the forum is super fucking dead. That could lead to people making threads to contribute. You're welcome.

Yet you are trying to ignore this fact that today alone, Sinister.ly has had 350 members ONLINE and only two new threads today. I can't be the only person that thinks that is bullshit and that something is up.

I find it to be ridiculous when people say "Well you're not contributing, go make some tuts so the forum can have more members! Be HQ pls!"

That would make sense if the community was small.. but that's not the issue at all. We have a very good community foundation in terms of people registered to the forum, but it seems threads get posted every other day. Don't get me wrong, the members that are HQ - are really fucking HQ. They try there asses off to make this forum a really awesome forum.

I may be new to the forum, but that doesn't mean I can't speak the truth that even the HQ members realize.

I'm new to the whole foruming thing, but it's obvious that the ratio of members online to threads being made is out of fucking whack.

that's right, you ARE new here, which means you don't yet know the ebb and flow of activity here. We have a few days where activity is through the roof, and we have a few days where it's slow. This forum is comparably small when taken into context of some other communities in a similar niche. Our activity during the week tends to be lower, and it tends to increase on the weekends.

You can make a thread about whatever you want, just know that making a thread complaining about a lack of activity doesn't do much good. No one is going to magically make 20 threads for you to read because of it.

Many of us are busy with work/school/university/life and can't spend every waking moment on the forum. Also, when activity here is low there is sometimes more happening in the skype chat.

I agree 100%, more activity mo betta. At the same time, making a thread complaining about a lack of threads in my personal opinion doesn't really contribute much.

So you're saying the ratio of the forum doesn't seem odd to you? Well in that case let me be a little more blunt: 330:2 is not normal. No matter what ebb or flow ANY forum has. That just isn't normal at all.

Edit: This thread wasn't originally a rant/complain thread. I was simply stating that it seems a little strange that we have many members online and only a couple threads. That is all.
