I love how people say what is learned at school prepares you for the future and then you don't even use most of the crap you get taught, what are your guys views on this topic?
OT: Nighcored is way better than the original.
People who think that's all it is about don't put much conscious thought into it. Schools primary function isn't to put pointless knowledge into students, but to guarantee a standard level of cognition in the general populace and to educate them with the most solid basics of the worlds foundations.
During the years spent at school, various changes occur in the students. Among the many reason most people advocate for schools is due to the communication skills attained by socializing with others and rightfully so. There isn't any kind of profession in modern society where one doesn't need at least basic communication skills, even when it comes to the art of crafting, someone needs to sell that item/service and someone needs to advertise the product and multitasking everything is just wasted effort. Additionally, humans are a herd species, our mental health and thus our happiness depends on the various connections we have with everyone, we can't avoid everyone nor can we feign ignorance about everything.
As stated before, the biggest reason for why schools are nessescary is to train the brain of the student which allows them to attain new skills on their own in the future and provide them with the ability to do more complex reasoning. Most people find math to be annoying and useless but it is most definitly the unsung hero of academia. The brains neurological network develops due to conscious effort being put into analyzis, dissasembly, pattern recognition, structured progress and repetition, all which are covered in math.
Thus, being forced to mathematics, socializing and even general physical education the people who have attained school and received education develop themselves and their brains to a degree they can serve as highly functional members of society and are able to solve complex problems. In addition school somewhat provides political insight as well with history lessons etc but that is another topic.
Summing it all up, the school does provide a foundation for the future, not always with knowledge but a PC Rig (read that as Brain) that can run something else than Minesweeper.
