Much shorter and to the point.

That's technically not what he's saying.

More like "I'm older than you, therefor I have more experience, so I know more than you, and I can't explain more than I already have".
Also short and to the point, but more accurate.

I'd agree if he wasn't devaluing me for my youth as opposed to aggrandizing himself for his age. He even made a snide remark in where he refuses to provide a solid rebuttal because my argument wasn't valid. Mind you, he hasn't really proven anything to the contrary of what I said, though admittedly because he hasn't bothered to claim anything.

The point is that, even if not insulting, he's dismissing me on a ridiculously petty basis. If I persuade my grandfather of my stance, am i suddenly right because my grandfather is older? No matter how you put it, the appeal from age is just untenable. I've seen more of the world than people a decade or even more my senior, yet I must have less experience and cannot be reasoned with.

It's just frustrating. I like to argue and debate, but not with this. It's just plugging your ears and saying you're right.

You are, this time, likely angry because you are young and might not know much about what you are talking about. That is okay as well, because eventually you could become a more matured person on this forum. Aging is inevitable.

@Ender was correct in what I was going for, If you want to debate with facts, I welcome it, however quoting FOX or heralding the current administration for the last administrations accomplishments does little to persuade me in believing you have a firm grasp of how things are working. Currently the Republicans have repealed Net Neutrality, undermined the ACA and passed a Tax bill which will take effect in 2019 and which will add 1.6 Trillion to the deficit. I have experienced Trickle Down Economics and it simply doesn't work, experience is the key here, how could I expect you to fully understand something you have never experienced. Yes using the age argument is sort of an under handed tactic, one my very bigoted republican fan boy father enjoys trying to use on me, but I am stating experience. Yes, you possibly have seen more of the world than most, you may have even experienced more than others in your age group, but reading a wiki won't give you a first hand experience, especially when it comes to politics.

Repealing net neutrality was an FCC thing, not a Republican one. Statistics showed that most people from both parties disagreed with it.
