To me, the biggest mistake most people make in relationships is not being their genuine selves. They start off trying to be perfect until they get comfortable. Then, afterward, their true selves come forth.

I have always tried not to do this because I never wanted to trick a man into loving me. Yet, I can see the merits of this approach.

I suppose your answer fits with mine. Once you start trusting people, the dishonesty starts and it'll blow up in your face in the end. (It doesn't even matter)...

If I had to sum it all up in one word, I would say that dishonesty is the biggest mistake that people make in relationships. It could be any kind of dishonesty: about who you are, in regards to cheating or about pretty much anything. Once the lies start coming, the relationship is going straight down the toilet.

Exactly. Once the lies start, trust goes out the window. And if you don't have trust, you don't have anything.

I think that when people get too jealous, that ruins the relationship.. there's not trust.
