Usually I play either Halo, Gears of War, or AC 3.

How does AC:3 compare to the previous games?

It doesn't, the story line sucks. But its easier to find a multiplier game on AC3, and the multiplayer is pretty good part of that game.

If the story line sucks, I probably won't be buying it. The story line is the only reason I play the games at all. I have to admit though, I'm pretty interested in the whole north american theme.

It was a major disappointment in my opinion, they spent so much time improving the game engine. It feels like they went "Oh crap the deadline is in a week! Ehh, lets just go to the sewage plant and throw some crap in the case and put the multiplayer disk behind it."
