Right now, it depends on the language and OS I have to use.
Windows: Visual Studio for C++/C#, IntelliJ for Java development, Notepad++ for HTML/Javascript/CSS.
Linux: Vim for general editing through the terminal, IntelliJ for Java development. Using Sublime Text as my primary code editor right now. Thinking about moving to Atom. I use scripts and makefiles to manage my builds on linux, typically.

I'll always stick with Notepad++. It's got a simple UI, the program never hangs, and it gets the job done. I use Atom from time to time but my personal preference has to be Notepad++.
