Im currently residing in the US and have amazing access to a numerous amount of stores, fast delivery, consistent hot and cold water, and electricity and internet, however the price of things here and the cost of living is exceedingly expensive. This is the price for accommodation and convenience. I dont have any health issues or children yet, but if I were to move to another country to have a more affordable lifestyle, then education and health would probably be my top priorities there second to personal safety.



If I had to pick a country to live in, I'd probably pick Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, or Thailand. They're very rich in culture and have a lower cost of living. My regular income here could allow me a to afford several months of necessities and leisure in those countries I mentioned above. Plus, the tropical climate as well as the difference in culture makes it more relaxing and slow paced rather than the city life that Im currently living in the US. (And the crime rate is dramatically lower).

Maybe Japan. Great public transport. Lots of vacant houses called "akiya". Those properties tend to need a lot of renovation, but would probably cost much less than a house in the United States.

I definitely looked into that before. I would like to do that one day as well to buy a home in Japan and live there. However, to buy a home there and to have residence there are two separate issues that I wished Japan would make easier for US Citizens. It's almost as if they're butthurt about WW2 (as if they didn't join the Axis power and bomb the US first, and refused to surrender btw).

Since I was a kid I've always wanted live in the US.
Almost had an opportunity, but it came down to my moms decision since she was the one petitioned by my grandparents.
Sadly she gave up on it and didn't go to the immigration interview last year.
Although, I can't come with her anyway since I aged out. But still I think it could've been a straight forward way for me to immigrate by petition later also.
