I've got two new PS4 games going...
DOOM (2016) - I didn't like the trailer or multiplayer beta much at all, but when I was told we got a pre-order out of the blue one day I said "Heck I'll give it a shot". Well, I like the game a good bit. Grabbed it on launch day and have been playing it since, it's fast-paced and bloody action which I'm glad to see, every now and then I like a game where I can charge in shooting rather than sitting back hoping to hit headshots. The campaign is short but good, I beat it within 24 hours of getting the game on the Ultra Violence (Hard) difficulty setting, the maps are fairly large with lots of secrets, the story is light but works perfectly as the series never really had much story, and there are lots of enemies to shoot. Multiplayer, whatever, not really the "Arena shooter" I was hoping for but it works out - nothing crazy to me. Snapmaps, eh, I have yet to try these but they look like they could be neat. I just wish that the campaign was longer and that there was a local co-op, as I think the game would be great with friends sitting around the big TV.
Uncharted 4 - This I was fairly excited for and I'm not dissapointed. There are introductions of some new people to the story which are nice, there's the usual treasure hunt, and climbing around ruins is still good fun. I like the character of Nathan Drake, and the rest of the people are fairly cool, too. Guns are fine, but you can also take some stealth approaches in combat to get around which is nice as sometimes I don't want to waste all my bullets and would rather just knock people out. The game looks really nice too, and I think they did a good job designing the enviroments and stuff. Overall, I like it.
TL;DR - DOOM and Uncharted 4, they're both pretty fun games.
*Edit on DOOM - Yeah, played more Multiplayer and tried snapmaps - they're not worth it. Multiplayer was cool for a round because I thought it was cool being a Revanant but after that wore off, it feels like Halo on a small CoD map with boring weapons. Snapmaps is like the map editor out of Timesplitters and you can only run multiplayer game modes, so nothing that fun. Pretty much, changing my opinion from "It's all worth the $60" to that while campaign is good, it's not that long and the rest of the game isn't worth it to me.

I've been fucking about with Forza 6 Apex on PC (it's free but a stripped down Forza 6). This game is relentless when it comes to controls. I like it that way too.
