The problem with this Is, not only Is the delivery tracked, but they also require an authorizing signature upon receipt of the Item.

And If the buyer Is not home, It's delivered to a pickup location (example, local post office) thereby awaiting pickup.

People have been doing it for years now, Amazon doesn't give a shit as long as the item isn't ridiculously expensive. But then again, you have to be lucky and smart (lucky - if you get a good rep, and smart - if you know your shit).
