I switched from Windows to Linux a short while ago. The installation was remotely arduous, it took me a few hours, but no other major quandaries. User permissions and root takes some getting used to. Worth it to know that Microsoft cannot harvest my data.

For now I'm running it in a VM as a daily driver for simple office stuff. The main sources of instability are from the virtualization.
Functionality...well it is a Microsoft product so one step forward in some spaces, two steps back on others. The useful settings are still is in the legacy gui.

For your Info, I'm running Windows 11 on 7 laptops without any Issues whatsoever. I'm very happy with Its overall performance.

Windows 10 LTSC. Low bloat, can disable most of the telemetry.
