DevC++ ?!? You mean Orwell Dev-C++ ? Anyway...

I use vi (vim) which is not an IDE really I also use Notepad++, they are all text editors

As for IDE, for programming software (systems):
- Visual C++ and Visual C#.
- Visual web studio.
- NetBeans (PHP) only.
- GameMaker Studio.
- Matlab.

Hardware:
- MPLab (C16,18 and so on).
- Arduino IDE.
- Xlinx ISE (for VHDL).

SQL:
- SQL Server and Management Studio.
- MySQL Client (vi over ssh), and no I don't use phpmyadmin!
- and as for postgres (PostSQL): I use vi over ssh (whatever that mean lol).

I can go on forever... but I am sleepy, so good night HC!

I like Eclipse for Java as well as Jcreator 3.5 for small Java programs.

As for C++ I use Code::Blocks 13 and for Python I like PyScripter.


Other than that I use Notepad++

For regular coding I use Sublime text 3
When tunneled in somewhere and using CLI, I use Vim / tmux (keep alive)
If light table supported more languages, I would probably try it out.

I don't know it, so I can't really say anything about it...
I visited their website, ... I still can't say much lol.

What's so special about it? And is it better than ... for example MySQL Workbench?

I was wondering if you were using it.
Its a well known product with over 2.5m downloads.

I don't know about MySQL Workbench.

Navicat is pretty much straight forward, it works great and has good features. (i.e ssh tunnel)

I don't usually do complex huge (+100 tables) projects, I mainly debug, customize or create only small (max 30 tables) projects, I code SQL when I test something, fix something or create small tables on the fly to store data while scrapping html for example.

I worked on huge projects maybe 4 times in my life (data warehouse projects), three of them used PostgreSQL (which I highly respect), and once MSSQL (I think 2008 or 2005), I built couple of DBs for some websites, using MySQL (that I don't count as "complicated" projects) and ... that's it.

My point here is: in all these projects I mentioned before, I used vi (Linux), or MSSQL Management Studio when forced to

Now, if we were talking about ETL projects -these are fun to work with- I used Pentaho/Kettle (or let's say... I was forced to use it), which I think that was a very interesting and powerful tool, but sadly I didn't have enough time nor projects to go deep enough with that tool!

I talk a lot, eh!? lol
