Really, most foods put in the microwave just suck, you are better off putting it in the oven or heating it in a pan. Some foods are almost better just eating it cold, a couple being chicken and pizza.

What food is total garbage if you reheat it in the microwave?

Almost any seafood in the microwave is terrible. I love seafood and it usually completely ruins the texture, especially with shellfish/other mollusks and most white fish. Sometimes, but only sometimes, something like a stew/braise with a robust, meaty fish like swordfish can handle it if you are very gentle, but I'll still usually skip it and gently reheat in a low oven or a pan.

Pork and chicken reheat nasty. Funky taste/smell afterwards, even if they're refrigerated immediately after cooking. Beef tends to have better results.

Can't remember the source, but I believe it has something to do with the fats being recooked. Leaner meats tend to do better.

I can't believe I forgot about pork. I didn't even think of it because microwaving it is so bad that I haven't so much as tried to in over 10 years. I always reheat pork in the oven.

Pizza can be reheated normally in the microwave if you drop a little water into different parts of it. It becomes soft again, I like it.

Reheated pizza almost always is a disappointment, I will have to give this method a try.

Microwave is not even worth it at this point if you ask me. Airfryer literally works like magic if you want to cook something or reheat whatever you want it's like cooking the leftovers again

i agree too. but after cook, the cleaning part thou~~~~
