An anonymous Dark Net website called the "ISIS red room" became an online phenomenon this week when it promised to livestream video of seven Islamic State jihadists being tortured and murdered while wearing women's clothing.

The site attracted thousands of curious viewers when it became a topic of conversation on 4chan, Reddit, YouTube, and forums across the Web.

Here's a screenshot of the site as it appeared on Thursday evening:

Some people vocally opposed what the site planned to do, on the grounds that ‘taking pleasure in the suffering of others makes you as bad as ISIS.’ Either way, there was a lot of curiosity about whether he site would follow through on its claims.

But the livestream, scheduled for Thursday at 8pm ET (midnight, GMT), didn’t happen, as the site went down shortly before the scheduled start time.

Whether the site was taken down by a DDoS attack – as had been promised by hackers – or that it was all a hoax from the start, no one knows.

What is clear, though, is that there’s a bloodthirsty appetite on the Internet for seeing ISIS members humiliated, tortured and killed.

Not to mention, why is ICE involved? That's more of a FBI/Europol/Interpol matter than any sort of homeland security thing.

I know that with SR2 and the Dark Markets, they involved ICE because of human trafficking and drug trafficking being passed through the site into the US.

Likely, its a hoax, then.

Not a hoax. It was actually streamed. Even on YT. I saw parts of it.

Nope. You can visit it and see for yourself. Or maybe I've got the wrong link? Highly unlikely but not impossible. I saw it on YT and got the link from 4chan later. It was posted multiple times in different threads.

I'm saying that its a basic image that anyone could make a page out of, the information on it doesn't relate to the site, etc.

The take down is likely a hoaxed thing. Not saying the site is, or the videos.

I don't understand what you mean. That is supposedly the actual deep web website that shit was streamed on. An hour later that very link is displaying that. Either the owners of the website felt like trolling everyone after streaming it or it was taken down. I took that screenshot. I didn't get it from elsewhere.

Okay. Yeah. That's fine. But this is the internet, and people do this shit frequently to everyone else.
