WPA2 Krack Attack vulnerability #1
I'm honestly pretty shocked that a protocol like WPA2 could have such an obvious-seeming vulnerability go unnoticed for 15 years. That said, with Heartbleed and some of the other OpenSSL vulnerabilities found in 2016, anything is possible.

It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

I'm not even surprised. This is a 13 year old protocol that was never intended to be used like we do today. I'm honestly impressed that it remained hidden for as long as it did.

Even less amazed that Android, which users claim is extremely secure since "it's linux" is literally the most vulnerable class of device/OS.

Ironically, these are often the same users who hate on Macs and say they are insecure, even though they are doing the same as Mac users who think MacOS is more secure than every other OS ever, because Apple says so.

Every form of communication via a technical gateway, has It's Insecurities and Is vulnerable to some degree.

Those who state otherwise are very much misinformed.

Didn't realize there was another thread on this already. Oh well, I guess this is the layman's explanation for those not super into networking and crypto.
