Vinny Del Negro fired (Clippers Coach)

It has been announced today that Vinny Del Negro ( Clippers Head Coach ) has been fired after 3 seasons with the team . Del Negro had a 128-102 regular-season record in three seasons with the team. The Clippers made the playoffs the past two seasons, including last season when they advanced to the second round for only the second time since the franchise moved to Los Angeles in 1984.

They start winning and fire the coach? The Clippers have rarely been successful, why fire someone that has only improved the team? Unless there are other factors at play...

This is surprising. I'd rate the Clippers as the better LA team this year.

They probably fired him because they were expecting to actually win the championship.

Sounds like a mindset that would keeping them from being perennial contenders. They're never going anywhere doing that...

I believe they fired him because they want to try and keep Chris Paul and I heard Paul isn't a big fan of Del Negro .

Rap is right. It appears they fired him to ATTEMPT to get Chris Paul to re-sign with the team. Pretty interesting tactic if you ask me...
