Well, I havent touched VB6 in over a decade... but to my knowledge, with the process of compilation - you'll never get the exact source code back by decompiling. The decompiler may be able to extrapulate what the program was doing and provide functionally similar code, but it wont be the code that the developer used.

However, I dont know how common it is for people to write programs that go to that much effort. I certainly never found one that did that for VB6.

it didnt fully recover the code only about 50% and it was actual vb6 code ,not assembly, my friend referred to it as a "coorperation decompiler"
