It's from a game called Mass Effect, one of the best ones in my opinion and i think you should play it. It goes from ME 1 to ME3 and you can load the saves from the previous games to progress the story from the options you have done.

As for the quote it's from a scientist working for a pro-human organisation, who cruely attached his brother to machines to explore the virtual reality of a synthetic race,breaking his brothers mind in the progress.

Wow..I kinda want to play it. However, I can't run anything game wise except Minecraft or something small. Cheers any though!
