I can visually perceive Ukraine reclaiming a big bite of occupied territory sometime in the next year, like they did last fall.

"Big bite" is quite a statement. I don't see them reclaiming anything. Russia's potential is just too huge. They have more resources and can mobilize more manpower, if needed. Ukraine, on the other hand, is not getting enough support. They have proven themselves to be remarkable fighters, though.
