What. I live in the UK and hadn't even heard of this until I came across this thread.

I don't think they're changing who gets arrested for hate crime. This is just a marketing campaign to encourage people to report when something horrible is done to you. It's a bit strange to have LGBT plastered all over police cars, but if it improves relations between civilians and the police, I'm not against it.

the only thing I hate about these "ism"-crimes is that like....... white, heterosexual men can never be a target of them.
real hate crimes against white people doesnt fall under any "ism" so

I doubt this is doing much except waste time and money. I'm not up-to-date with UK politics, but from what I've read hate crime reports have nearly doubled before this became a trend.

And if I was a homophobic Englishman, I doubt that seeing police cars with pride flags on them would make me any less homophobic.
