Twitter news?

I have been thinking of making a twitter which would post about news within technology and hacking. I know it may sound stupid but I think it'll be fun.

Getting a lot of followers would be the issue. Sure you can start posting a lot but whats going to make yours any different? Your best bet would be to start a nice blog, get a fan base going and then tie in a twitter account that posts all your blog posts. Gives you two places to gain followers. But be ready to post a lot and write. Look at some of these tech blogs and such and see how to write. You cant copy and paste everything and take peoples followers.

I agree I invest a lot of time in a news / activism account and it is much harder than you think to get recognition v

exactlly. That may give you a wider range of people to read and hopfully pick up some followers. Again as everyone else said. Needs to stand out and be unique.
