Appreciated, thanks.

It's quite interesting, honestly, you won't regret it. Imagine getting your entire company owned because your rack mount embedded VPN server has remote root exploits in it :/

Now that would be a pleasure to say the least.

I've exploited my work's server many years ago, but they've recently upgraded and Implemented better security/Intrusion prevention systems. I've yet to examine It since then- time Is not my best friend at the moment.

I'll definitely check this out In detail when time permits.

I know how it is, never having time... I find root exploits constantly in popular devices, it's quite amazing. IDSes can be evaded quite easily.

There are like 50 in every embedded/peripheral device, then when the company fixes them (90% of the time the company doesn't even do this), 50 more pop up in their place.

For sure, it's embarrassing on the entire embedded device industry.

So are there any other write ups like this? Found both of these very interesting. I remember when owned and exposed posted some papers but they only showed themselves traversing through the system as proof rather than to describe how they managed to break in, owning the inside network etc.

tldr; more like this from other authors?

Not really, you can't get a better insight than the hacker themselves and that's not really something they do.
