I did this once because someone was pissing me off.
Otherwise, I've seen scripts that do this and make a new network, under the same name. When connected, it gives you a page saying the router needs to update or shit like that and asks for the pass. Best way to get into a WiFi network.

I was thinking the same, it could be used to make a fake 'router address' on a fake network (with same SSID as the victim) and then steal passwords once the user types his password in. Most of people won't even think it's the fake AP. I'll look up more info about this method, I think I've seen something similar before.
