I've used TOR on my Android before, but it was some other open source program. I believe it was called Orbot, and Orfox. I would trust the official TOR version though for stability and updates.

Gave it a try and it was good. It's somewhat faster than before. Would be better if there were options to configure Tor rather than just the browser.
