I also use tor from time to time, but not consistantly. Anything that was a project and then funded by DoD must be a little edgy.
I2P seems like the better option.

Anyone have any experience using TorVPN and know what thats like?

I use tor a lot. Just be mindful that if you're not using SSL your packets out of an exit node could be getting sniffed. So... use SSL, or don't use tor to login to sites that are so dumb they don't have SSL (like sooooo many hosting companies! what are they thinking?) or just don't care.

well i want to second the vpn while tor is good for somethings your bes bet is to just create a vpn ipsec tunnel between you and a rooted firewall and from there on ot have your fun i guess its another layer and you have access so its safe but not fool proof im actually going to check out some foreign vpn solutions later i suggest if you need to know how to do this i could make a tutorial but if you want it just pm me if i get three pms asking how to actually take over a vpn ipsec firewall over the net ill teach you

If what ever you're doing on tor needs be hidden from the government, SSL won't protect you. It can be cracked and sniffed just like regular http, but it's harder.
