Titan-Z #1
So today, NVIDIA announced their new GPU, the Titan-Z. It is a dual-GPU rocking 12 GB GDDR5. So, in short, it is 2 Titans inside of one. It will be launched at a whopping price of 3000$. So, if you had a spare 12000$ laying around, you could have 4 Titan-Zs inside of your system, so 8 Titans inside your PC.

Quote from NVIDIA directly:
Quote:GeForce GTX TITAN Z is a gaming monster, built to power the most extreme gaming rigs on the planet. With a massive 5760 cores and 12 GB of 7 Gbps GDDR5 memory, TITAN Z gives you truly amazing performance—easily making it the fastest graphics card we’ve ever made.

This is a serious card built for serious gamers. TITAN Z is designed with the highest-grade components to deliver the best experience – incredible speed and cool, quiet performance—all in a stunningly crafted aluminum case.

If I had money, I would totally rock 4 of these, but I think for now I will stick with my GTX 780 Ti, which is still a monster of a card. So what do you guys think of this card? I feel like NVIDIA will be losing a lot of money if they produce a lot of these...

Well it's probably not nearly as much to produce as they're selling it for. They'll probably definitely profit. People will still buy it.

Same concept as Apple making a "new" phone by just updating a few cosmetics and installing ONE new software app... people still buy it.

People were saying it costs half of that to produce, so per card there would be a 1500$ profit, but honestly, not many people have 3000$ to throw at a graphics card. This graphics card costs as much as my PC did when I bought it, which is kinda ridiculous.

I haven't read up anything, but if it's a dual GPU card, and the GPU inside is whatever was in the Titan, you can only run 2 cards in SLI.

You can only run 2 of these in SLI since quad SLI is the max. 8 would have horrible scaling anyway.

I am impressed with the new AMD FirePro card though, single GPU that pushes 5 TERAFLOPS (Titan Z is dual and 8 TERAFLOPS) and also has 16GB GDDR5 at its use. :O
