It's pretty simple to Ignore/filter content, and purely focus on what Is of benefit and Interest to you. As such, you'll find that your experience on boards and the like, will be pleasant and enjoyable.

Once I am finished programming my product I intend to. But as I said in the post it is not this forum in particular. But almost all the forums.

Your issue isn't that forums are all the same. Do you best to create good content that's both informative and engaging. Just because it's raining doesn't mean you're going to have to sit in the rain. You don't control what others post and you don't control the weather so why bother?

What is this programming project you're working on right now? You could share that with the forum. That's a good place to start and it shows your interest in engaging with the community.

@Oni is very right that "people should contribute what they are interested in, rather than complain about the things they aren't."

I might add that the things others do don't define you. You're probably a very interesting person and skilled at your work, but we wouldn't know that.

As staff, we cannot filter posts but It's certainly beneficial to members.

Entirely agreed. Limiting who you interact with based on skill-level/interests is bad on an individual level, not just for forums. That said, we've added filters for people that want to limit the "noise".

The way I see it is kinda like if you went to a party on college campus and got mad because there were frat bros taking the living room. It's kinda expected so just find where the cool intellectual kids are hanging out and smoking cloves and talking about new Modest Mouse album or something. (Too specific? )
