This links to the 1930's where there was the Great Depression. Leaving people to travel alone in order to earn money. This links in with the theme of loneliness, which can be seen through the book.

Study. But appart from that, explain your classmates the subject, it involves a high level of knowledge about it, therefore, you should be doing better.

Not sure if it applies in English but I usually think of real life stories which relates to the topic while learning other subjects and it really helps me remember it somehow.

Also, like @4 said, get off the website and concentrate on your studies for some while.

This. Before my exams, me and my friends explain to each other what we need to know, therefore sticking in our minds.

TBH i think i should get a "C". The only thing is keeping it consistent

Foundation English is much easier, it lays it out for you and explains what you need to write about.
