Thoughts looking back on the pandemic and vaccines 05-01-2024, 12:08 PM

Now that we're a few years out of the pandemic, what are your thoughts in regards to how the vaccines were handled, how the pandemic itself was handled (in the United States), and whether or not the vaccine is/was worth it?
I know many people who are indifferent to haven taken the vaccine, many who are glad they didn't, and many who are glad they did. IMO much of their current opinion is really just a reflection of their political leaning, with very few of them being willing to acknowledge the data now avaialble to us (as well as the decisions that had to be made before this new data was available).
I fall into the indifferent camp. Within a few months of the pandemic I shifted my concern from myself to the older people around me so I wasn't all that interested in being overconcered with the whole situation. I was just focused on sticking to general health and wellness and keeping everyone in the best shape I could.
