I used to have Sony DVD players. Now I have Microsoft operating systems.

I really like a lot of the games Sony brings to the table (for example, Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment). They seem to get a lot of the really nice games in Japan. No insults towards Microsoft, although they seem to be focused more on FPS games. If I had to pick between consoles, I'd say Playstation. If I had to choose between companies, I'd pick Microsoft.

Honestly there's not much to say, I'm not a fanboy, but Microsoft makes it really hard to ACTUALLY support them as a company (monopoly on OSs, STILL charging for online, lackluster game console [which has now became a media console], etc); not saying Sony is perfect, but it is by far the company that can actually do PR worth a shit

There's a war?
Wat?
I have both, they both have good games. The war is just something to let some members of each community crusade over.
Now that Sony made their online P2P I'm more indifferent than ever. To me, they both provide what I want.
If I lose my Xbox Ill play my PS3 no probs, but I'll whine about not having the Xbox and vice versa.
It's my little status quo.
