The truth behind your god. #1
Christians, Jews and Muslims alike. You blame the evils of Hitler, Stalin and Mao on their disbelief in God. You claim that your god provides a foundation for morality and you always praise the loving character of your God.

YOU ARE ALL HYPOCRITES

Lets take a look at the nature of your god. You will find his 'loving character' in your bible.

"I kill ... I wound ... I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh." -- Deuteronomy 32:39-42

Biblical number - 2,552,452
Estimate - 25 million

some examples of gods killings:

1. The Flood of Noah - Gen7:23 - Biblical number: unknown - Estimate: 20,000,000

2. God plagues the people for complaining about the food - Num 11:33 - Biblical number: unknown - estimate: 10,000

3. God slowly kills the Israelite army - Dt 2:14-16 - Biblical number: unknown - estimate: 500,000

4. 42,000 killed for failing the "shibboleth" test - Jg 12.4-7, Heb 11.32 - biblical number 42,000

5. God killed 100,000 Syrians for calling him a god of the hills - 1 KG 20:28-29 - biblical number: 100,000

6. God killed a million Ethiopians - 2 Chr 14:9-14 - biblical number: 1,000,000

7.God killed half a million Israelite soldiers - 2 Chr 13:17-18 - biblical number: 500,000

you can find the rest of the list: http://dwindlinginunbelief.blogspot.com/...bible.html

so you see, your god is not "loving" he is evil, jealous and angry.

I kinda agree with Sync, calm down a bit.
But yes, I agree on this. So "loving" and "caring", step back a little.
Nice post.
Classy man.

While making the point that God is sometimes violent is made, the tone was rather.. irritating. It takes the same tone as a true hard-line Christian, except in the opposite direction. Same as Faith there I suppose.

Also, I don't know anyone who blames Godlessness for the actions of a person. And I live in a rather Christian(Catholic, to be exact) family.
