First of all by good I mean its not terrible like nearly every other live action anime out there.
Second, it's actually an adaptation of the manga "All you need is kill".

So, as I just mentioned it's an adaptation of the manga "All you need is kill" and the movie is called "The edge of tomorrow".

"All you need is kill" was actually the second manga I ever read so I may be slightly biased towards it. The movie is based on the manga, however, it is by no means the same, there are many differences between them, but moreover, the basic plot is the same. I prefer the manga, mabey its because I'm biased, but in my opinion, the manga has the better story and is more enjoyable than the film.

Unfortunately, other studios haven't seemed to learn from "The edge of tomorrow" and continue making bad live-action adaptations of anime.

If you haven't read the Manga, i highly recommend it. And if you like the manga you should try the movie.

Personally is more of a copy then a live action since it was not official.
