Elon's now hinted that Tesla may dump it's current holdings:
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/16/elon-mus...tcoin.html

The currency has gone from $60,000 down to $45,000 in less than a week.

what does this mean for bitcoin? do you think he did that deliberately, or was dropping bitcoin a mistake?
is he maybe playing with peoples minds? I quoted this from the article, i guess I was right in my former post:
Quote:"Musk has since been hitting back on Twitter against users who are critical of his cryptocurrency stance. Influential venture investor Fred Wilson, a founding partner of Union Square Ventures, tweeted Friday: “He’s playing games. It is hard to take anyone who does that seriously. I’ve lost enormous respect for him over the last year because of it.”

I'd say it's market manipulation at its finest. Back when they bought the currency in February, they already knew BTC had an effect on pollution and energy use.

People were complaining of the pollution back in 2019 and even prior:

To be perfectly honest, there is a massive push for thousands of companies to shift to renewable energy. Mining coin will be no different. Elon may have another business venture trick up his sleeve. Inb4 a new energy company that serves data centres, big tech companies etc.

Council won't stop China from shitting up the environment. But, it looks like they're banning BTC anyway.

True. I feel like it's a bit futile... Nobody can hold china accountable, so they hold everything else accountable.
