I don't really mind, but in the case that the dubbed version has higher-quality audio (5.1 channel Dolby Digital as opposed to 2 channel PCM for the JP soundtrack) I prefer the dubbed version. I'm an audio freak so I'll always choose surround over stereo.

Subs are preferred when the audio quality is equal in both versions. I've never seen an anime in which the JP original was higher fidelity than the English dub.

I've never noticed that before. I'll have to put it to the test sometime to see if I can tell a difference
