In the extremely short time I watched anime I can tell you right now that I would easily prefer sub over dubs. It keeps a more authentic feel and it overall feels easier to listen to, or read.

Dub is where it's at, Sub is shite and i don't like it anymore (Dragon Ball Z) is the only anime ill watch in sub cause Dub im not used to.

The dub leaves out a great deal of characteristics though.
