Hello wagwans today I shall tell you a story, a wonderfully bad story that happened in like October 2k15. Warning, this will be long, it's a real story you know, ain't got time to dilute it.
Ok it all starts back in Christmas of 2014, my cousin recently bought minecraft so we surfed through some servers and found one called LevMC, it was alright, could of been less shit though. Fast forwards to mid February we got banned from that server for pvping and not giving items back (didn't break a rule btw fuking mc admin noobs) so we just kinda did nothing. Then my cousin bought a mc server for like $4.99 a month, it was really bad but you know, it could of been worse.
Ok lets skip say 2 months, we got our first donation and after that they poured in, so we both decided that any excess funds coming it will either be reinvested into things such as advertising or graphics, the rest we would split if there was a problem such as keyboard broke, monitor broke etc, just your necessities.
Skip to October sort of time, I know i'm skipping a bit of detail here, but I basically worked my way up with many java developers and we had a server with custom plugins etc, and the total income (excluding fees) was around $1600. Not bad imo, with the fees of those months we basically profited around $1400 +/- a few dollars. Now to lay out what we had been doing those past months.
I worked on the forum site, plugins development, plugin management, server optimisation, graphics, spending and I moderated the forum. Now what did my cousin do? He spoke to the players, that was basically it, I did all the behind the scenes work while he just played minecraft with the players. Little did I know shit was about to get real.
I come on the server the next day, ohshit.jpeg I've been banned. Ah i'll just unban myself with the console, incorrect password? Wtf, skype my cousin, nothing, ring his phone, nothing. Ring Aunt, says he's in, ring him again, phone is turned off ¬_¬ so now i'm like wtf is going on. I check the paypal, wtf where has like the $1400 gone. Few days pass, I go up where he lives, it's like a fucking 4 hour journey by bus.
He explains he spent all the money, all $1400 of it, you know i'm pretty pissed, seems he has spent over $200 on pizzas and $800 on a headset and desk, the other $400 split between clothes and shit. But you know, it's ok, he handed me $40. $40 for real, what the actual fuck. He says he no longer needs me (I recently ended up making the server 70% automated so even an egg could run it) so he just decided to not pay me and that was that. I go home, tell my parents cause they have no idea, whole family knows. They outcast him (stole granparents credit card before and spend £300 on it, this is illegal fraud, but you know granparents didn't press charges)
So yea, that happened. But now after all the shit my cousin spread about how I scammed him and I somehow lost money (wtf idk how I scam someone and lose money don't ask me) my brother has been working on my pc. Oh I'm on his domain now? Wtf is the point in this. Fast forward NEVER PUT YOUR PC ON A DOMAIN, that shit is cancer, literally no programs run at all, I have to get permission so he can add perm or some shit, absolute shit for like 2 months. I recently quit my brothers mc server (he wanted to make one with me, I put 0 effort in becuase I'm not doing that all over again) and it seems he has been trying to copy over my user profile to some path that only he can access (found out when he was 'updating' stuff that over 100gb of data was being copied over).
So, not only did I basically get scammed out of like $700 (the 1400 split in half) my brother is now trying to steal from me. He just took the domain off my pc, but I really doubt that, I had my fingers on control alt delete if he tryed any funny business.
So yea, that's the story of how I was scammed and how my PC is probably going to suicide soon, if you don't hear from me I've probably been shanked idk. If you want more stories tell me cause like I'm bored.
