Valve has finally tossed Steam Greenlight and set a price for Steam Direct their new self publishing platform.

This is actually a pretty good deal. Especially since there were indeed problems with steam greenlight. Too many people wanted to become a game developer that time.

Yeah they were originally thinking of a price in the thousands, which would have crushed alot of small indies, but hell 100$ isn't that bad and can usually be made back quickly even with a pretty shitty game.

In the article they say when the game exceeds a profit of 100$+ you can even reclaim the 100$. So it's a pretty good deal if you ask me.
