SpaceX announces manned moon mission #1
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and President Gwynne Shotwell announced today that plans are in place to fly two private citizens to the moon, the first manned mission in almost 50 years. Training and physical tests are set for later this year, and if all goes according to plan, the pair should launch from the ISS in the spring of next year.

In related news, Musk has stated that SpaceX is pushing for manned missions to mars as well as the beginnings of a permanent Martian colony as soon as the next decade.

It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

This is way cool. It's about time we landed on the moon again, and then mars.

The only current information on who's going is that they're "private citizens", so it could very well be him, though I doubt it. He's got lots to take care of here on earth, and training and the actual flight would heavily interfere with that.

What an awesome experience this'll be.

I'd assume they'd have to be almost 100% medically fit. Mars would be even better.

Well, I could have swore I replied to this a while back, lol
I think that this is pretty cool, as we know way much more these days than we did a long time ago. We will probably learn SOOO much from this mission.
On the fact about the mission to Mars, that is going to amazing, as we will learn more about mars, and whether or not we can live on mars, or at least visit mars as a "tourist attraction" or something.
is it just me, or is the post above look like a shitpost? lol
